Case Study: Pricing
Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District
Chief Doug Yurecko was looking for a way to make his crews’ inspections more efficient and consistent across all shifts, while staying within the budgetary confines of a small rural department. He came across PSTrax while reading an article posted on FireApparatusMagazine.com. “I’d seen the price tags of many software programs out there and when I saw PSTrax, I was worried it wouldn’t fit within our budget,” notes Yurecko. “It looked like it would work for our station, but I just didn’t know if we could afford it.”
Chief Yurecko met with PSTrax in a private webinar and confirmed that the program was what he had been looking for. “I like how it’s customized entirely for our trucks and equipment; it’s not some pre-built template,” says Yurecko.
The proposal Yurecko received included a full custom build for all apparatus, equipment, and inventories, along with ongoing support and maintenance. “We presented the quote to the Board and one member, who is an apparatus supervisor with the local army base, was really surprised at how reasonable it was compared with other programs they’d been quoted before. We received approval and were up-and-running within a few weeks.”
“PSTrax has saved us a lot of time and money,” claims Chief Yurecko. “Everyone knows what’s expected of them when they come on shift, and everything is documented automatically. It takes me less time to direct my crews on what to do since all the officers and firefighters are kept in the loop with what’s going on throughout the department.”
