Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
PSTrax is custom-priced for your department based on the scope of work and modules selected. It is affordable for departments of all sizes. Please contact us to learn more.
What do I need to get started?
Once you decide to move forward, you'll meet with a PSTrax Build Architect, whose job is to gather your logs, discuss specifics related to your checks, and then custom-build the system to your exact specs. All we need from you are your logs in whatever form they're in now (check sheets, Excel files, etc.), some scheduling information, and a list of users - we'll take care of the rest.
How long does the build process take?
A full custom-build takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on the size of your department and how quickly we receive your logs. Your Build Architect will be able to provide a more specific timeframe when you meet with him/her.
What if I have outdated or missing inspection schedules?
If your schedules aren't up to par, we have a series of NFPA compliant checks that we can tailor to your specific apparatus and equipment.
What devices does it run on?
PSTrax.com is a web-based program, meaning that it works on any device that can access the internet. It runs on all smartphones and tablets (Apple, Android, Kindle, etc.) as well as laptops, work stations, and toughbooks.
Will my crew actually use it?
Crews like PSTrax because it saves time. They only see the checks that are due that day, and because the information is updated in real time, there's no double-work. Officers receive email reports from every station each day, so they can see exactly how much their crews are using the system.
Is my data safe?
You own all of the information input into PSTrax.com, even if you cancel the service. The data is stored securely with redundant backup systems and only transmitted via encrypted network protocols. Copies of your logs in digital and physical formats can be retrieved at any time.
How is this different than my RMS?
Most RMS programs require you to build the template for each apparatus. Checks are printed off, completed by the crew, and uploaded back into the RMS. With PSTrax, everything you need is in one place. Your checks are scheduled automatically, so all your crew has to do is log in, see which checks are due, and get to work. When completed, logs are automatically stored in your own secure, searchable database.
